Remove HTML tags from a string, so that you can use it in your own python code.
If you’re going to implement this feature, it would be good to know why you’re doing it.
My original answer to this question was that I was wondering if anyone knew the cause (or if there was any reason to suspect it). I found the cause to be a simple little function that I had written a few months ago that would remove HTML tags from a string. Well, I was on a break from school and forgot to finish it, but I had just written it and needed some feedback.
I thought that the most likely cause for removing the tags would be to use the remove_tags function in Python’s standard library. As the question states, this function removes HTML tags from a string, but I didn’t see any reason to suspect that it’s used in a way that would remove tags from a string. I looked in the source for that function and didn’t see any mention of removing tags. If you use the function, you’ll also be removing all the line breaks.
To remove HTML tags from a string, you can use the remove_tags function. It’s not part of the standard library and I don’t think you’ll see it used for anything important. For more information, check out the Python docs here.

Strip_tags is not the only function you should use when removing HTML tags. The strip_tags function is a really nice one, but sometimes you don’t want to strip all tags. If you’re after removing all HTML tags from a string, then you can use strip_clean. The strip_clean function is an even nicer function, and it removes all tags except the first, leaving only the tags you want to keep.
In the above case, I would use strip_clean on the string “I love this site, really.” In general, it is a good idea to strip all tags from a string, but you have to be careful not to strip tags that you intend to keep. We don’t want to accidentally add a tag into our string.
