This website (that also happens to be the name of a book I’m co-authoring) talks about the importance of the relationship between the mind and the body in regards to physical and mental health. I’ve always thought the phrase “mind over matter” was a great way for both our minds and our bodies to work synergistically.
The phrase has been around for a long time, but it seems that the idea is becoming more popular in the world of psychology rather than just the realm of spirituality.
I think this may be because physical exercise is a way to maintain a healthy brain, and mental exercise keeps the brain’s functioning at optimal levels. The more we exercise, the easier it is for us to think and feel. It’s a lot like using the right word in your writing, because a great writer uses the word “thought” for everything else. So if we think about stuff, that means it exists. If we exercise our bodies and think about stuff, that means it’s possible.
Well that’s a whole new way to look at it. Like I said before, there’s no one else in the world that thinks about how we exercise our brains and how we think and how we feel. It just is, and it’s nice to know that we can control it.

So if we’re feeling down, exercising our bodies and thinking about stuff, then its likely we’re feeling down.
