We do this because, well, we like to make it look pretty. When we design a page, we want to make it look good, but we also want to make sure that it is readable and easy to read.

We can use the background-attachment property to tell the browser to not only display them, but also add a little padding around them. This way our images will still be readable, but will also fill up the page.

This is a technique that’s been around for a while, and it works well for making sure our pictures don’t disappear when we resize the browser window.
