What NOT to Do in the html global attributes Industry

These little things have always been a bit of a pain. I’ve even had to add a piece of CSS to make them work. But, there are other ways to make them work.

You can use the new HTML attribute name=”class” to tell the browser to use a specific CSS class (that you’ve added). It’s pretty cool.

Ive actually found it pretty easy to use, but Ive found it much harder to explain to people why it works. It has to do with the fact that there is no CSS class that lets us add things like the color of the text. All we can do is put something on the page and the browser will automatically figure out what we want it to look like.

The html global attributes allow us to do exactly this. It is possible to use these attributes on the tag so that if we add a style tag above the tag, that style will be added, even if we dont add the style tag itself.

One thing that was really neat is that we could also use this to change the color of some of the text.

This is the kind of thing that I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like to make their own custom CSS. If you want to create your own styles for colors, colors could be a problem.

There are a few HTML5 features that were only available in Internet Explorer 5, but that were added in the latest version. I have yet to find a reason that this is important to people.
